The moon (Latin luna) is the only natural satellite on earth. His name is etymologically related to the month and refers to the period of his phase change. However, because the satellites of other planets of the solar system are also often referred to as moons in the transcendental sense, they are sometimes referred to as the moons, to avoid confusion. It is the fifth-largest moon of the solar system with a diameter of 3476 km.
Because he is relatively close to the Earth, he is the only alien heavenly body to be entered by man and the most widely explored. Nevertheless, there are still many uncertainties, for example regarding its origin and some terrain forms. However, the recent development of the moon has largely been clarified.
